Lectures on the computational methods are complemented by hands-on computer lab sessions for an effective learning experience.

    Topics to be covered include:

    Introduction to Matlab
    Dynamical systems
    Numerical linear algebra
    Chaotic dynamics
    Random numbers
    Stochastic processes
    Monte Carlo methods
