Prof. Aldo Deandrea (IPN Lyon, France)

    Good morning All,

The National Institute for Theoretical Physics, and the Centre for Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, would like to invite to its coming talk in the theoretical physics seminar series, entitled:

"When the top is not single: a theory overview from monotop to multitops"

to be presented by Prof. Aldo Deandrea (IPN Lyon, France)

Abstract: The experiments at the LHC are searching for many different final states that can hint to the presence of new physics beyond the Standard Model. One of the most interesting and promising sectors for these searches is that of the top quark, for both theoretical and phenomenological reasons linked to its large mass and to its possible special role in the electroweak symmetry breaking sector. I discuss the theory and phenomenology of monotop and multi-top events, which can bring further insight in constraining and discovering physics beyond the Standard Model.

    Dates: Tuesday, 21st October 2014
Venue: Frank Nabarro Lecture Theatre P216
    Time: 13.20 - 14.10

I hope you shall all be able to attend,

    Yours sincerely,
