NITheP WITS Seminar: Dr Ken Ganga (APC, Paris)

The National Institute for Theoretical Physics, and the Centre for Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, would like to invite to its coming talk in the theoretical physics seminar series, entitled:

"The Planck Satellite and the Cosmic Microwave Background"

to be presented by Dr. Ken Ganga (APC, Paris)

Abstract: I will give an update and status of Planck's measurements of the anisotropies in the Microwave Background. I will focus on the CMB, but also mention Planck's contributions to non-CMB science. I will try to put the Planck measurements of the CMB in the context of past and future measurements, including the search for primordial B-Modes and how Planck can inform us on the recent announcement of detections thereof by the BICEP2 collaboration.

    Dates: Tuesday, 26th August 2014 - TODAY
Venue: Frank Nabarro Lecture Theatre P216
    Time: 13.20 - 14.10

I hope you shall all be able to attend,

    Yours sincerely,
