    Call for Proposals from KITP

KITP Call for Proposals - Message received from KITP (below)

    Dear Colleague:

I write to request pre-proposals and/or full proposals for KITP programs for the 2014-2015 academic year. Our main activity consists of 2-5 month focused research programs. Final decisions on programs for the year 2014-2015 will be made at the Advisory Board meeting in late January, 2013.

"Pre-proposal" submissions need not be elaborate -- a title, at least two paragraphs explaining the idea, and suggestions for organizers and key program participants. Members of the advisory board will review these pre-proposals, encourage the development of promising ones into full proposals, and guide coordination of proposals in related areas. A pre-proposal can easily be submitted at

    http://www.kitp.ucsb.edu/for-scientists/program-suggestions

These will be of greatest use if they arrive by November 15, 2012

Full proposals may also be submitted from the outset. Guidelines for writing full proposals are found at
    http://www.kitp.ucsb.edu/for-scientists/suggestions/guidelines.

More information about current, previous and future programs, the membership of the advisory board and other aspects of the KITP may be found at our web site

    http://www.kitp.ucsb.edu.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have questions or need further information.

Input from the scientific community we serve is central for determining our activities.

    WE NEED YOUR IDEAS!

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely yours,
