WITS Node Seminar: Prof Djordje Minic (Virginia Tech)

The National Institute for Theoretical Physics, and the Centre for Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, would like to invite to its coming talk in the theory seminar series, entitled:

"Dark Matter and Milgrom's scaling: from Astronomy to Particle physics and back"

to be presented by Prof. Djordje Minic (Virginia Tech).

Abstract: In this talk I will introduce the new concept of ``Mondian''
dark matter which reconciles the cold dark matter paradigm with the phenomenological successes of Milgrom's scaling. I will outline some generic signatures of this new concept in astronomy and in particle physics. I will also emphasize the crucial role of quantum gravity in this proposal.

    Date: Tuesday, 17th April 2012
Venue: Frank Nabarro Lecture Theatre P216
    Time: 13.20 - 14.10
