    CTMP Seminar Prof Cesareo Dominguez

The CTMP Friday lunch seminar will be presented by

    Prof. Cesareo Dominguez

THE OPERATOR PRODUCT EXPANSION IN QCD BEYOND PERTURBATION THEORY

The extension of Wilsonís Operator Product Expansion (OPE) of current correlators at short distances to the non-perturbative regime, together with Cauchyís theorem in the complex squared energy plane, allows to relate QCD to hadronic physics. This is done in a rigorous quantum field theory platform. This technique, called QCD sum rules, will be introduced in this talk both at zero and at finite temperature and density. No previous knowledge of the subject is required, and the talk will be at the level of Physics Honours and beyond.

    ALL WELCOME

DATE AND TIME: Fri Mar 16th, 12:30pm, in the Duncan Elliott seminar room in the physics department.

As always, the seminar will be presented in a very informal setting as a lunchseminar, food (ingredients to build your own sandwich) and drink will be provided by CTMP.

    Best regards, Heribert Weigert
